About 1V-LSD

1-valeroyl-lysergiciethylamide, or Valerie for short, is a completely legal research drug and lysergamide derivative with an ergoline backbone. 1V-LSD is a prodrug of the illegal substance LSD and an analogue of 1cP-LSD. This means that the substance is converted into LSD. However, Valerie also has some distinguishing features,as reported by our research group.

1V-LSD is homologous to 1P-LSD and 1cP-LSD, but contains a valeroyl group bound to the indole nitrogen instead of a propionyl group.

The nickname "Valerie" is derived from segments of the main chemical groups described in the chemical name 1-VALeroyl-lysERgic acid dIEthylamide. What is the difference between 1V-LSD and 1cP-LSD?

1V-LSD is very similar to 1cP-LSD in that it is also a prodrug of LSD.
